The coolest thing about Tumblr…
Tumblr is great in that it makes blogging easy. Posting text, pictures, video, audio, etc. is so easy through Tumblr that one might call it “blogging for dummies”. But to be honest, setting up a blog through Blogger or Wordpress isn’t that hard. It isn”t as easy as Tumblr, but it ain’t all that hard.
What I think seperates Tumblr from the “pre-Tumblr” blogging platforms the most is the community. Tumblr’s new homepage is awesome - it enables easy discovery of cool and interesting Tumblrs. It is so much of an upgrade from before (I always found the original homepage bizarre - it was like Yahoo just having a static image on its homepage). Also, the re-blog button is awesome and probably is my favorite part of Tumblr. By seeing people who re-blogged people that I currently follow, all of a sudden I am again able to easily discover new and interesting Tumblrs to follow (hi ae!).
